Reflect on your formative experiences, interests, and purpose to create your Common App Personal Statement. This is the most important element of your Common App.

Many schools also have supplemental essays that ask what you want to study, how you engage with your community, and why you and the school are a good fit.

We view each application as an opportunity for students to think critically about who they are, the experiences that have shaped them, and the change they want to create in the world.
